WHO ARE THE STREET LIBERATORS?
The Street Liberators are a community first organization, created to develop an array of holistic programming for the Black and Brown communities to raise their quality of life.
By incorporating programming that integrates financial literacy, education reform, health, civics, and physical fitness, the Street Liberators are geared to make sustainable changes in our community.
In Austin, it is our focus to service the traditional Eastside, and Northeast communities through our activities, including our signature bike rides. It is our aim to deliver physiological and psychological components of maintaining a healthy and successful way of living for the families who join our movement. It is our intention to leverage the unique experts in our community to provide alternative education pathways, which will be accessible to all. A major component of our educational efforts will be our digital monthly publication entitled “The Street Liberator”.
“The Street Liberator” will provide the community with a host of information including articles to raise awareness about current issues, highlight minority owned businesses, minority operated non-profits, provide a healthy recipe, and a financial tip of the month. Our “Street Liberator Rides’’ will be the cornerstone of our outreach, these will be conducted on the third Saturday of every month.
We truly hope that you will join our movement and become a Street Liberator.
